Business Management
Business Management develops enterprise skills and attributes by providing opportunities to study a range of business and organisational contexts.
Candidates see the ways in which society relies on businesses and other organisations to satisfy its needs, and an understanding of how to use business information to interpret and report on overall business performance. The Course also looks at the impact that external influences can have on organisations.

On 1 February 2026, Qualifications Scotland replaced SQA and became Scotland’s new national awarding body. The documents on this page remain current and you can continue to use them. We’ll update them in the style of Qualifications Scotland when they’re next due for review.
03-JUN-2026
We’ve reduced the marks and durations of the National 5 and Higher Business Management exams from session 2026-27. We’ve also adjusted the percentage weightings for the question paper and assignment at both levels by introducing scaling to the assignment.
