Administration and IT develops candidates' administrative, organisational and IT skills. Candidates develop an understanding of administration in the workplace and the IT skills required for the role.

On 1 February 2026, Qualifications Scotland replaced SQA and became Scotland’s new national awarding body. The documents on this page remain current and you can continue to use them. We’ll update them in the style of Qualifications Scotland when they’re next due for review.
14-AUG-2026
The 2027 National 5 and Higher assignments and accompanying files will be available from the following dates:
- National 5 – Monday 15 February 2027
- Higher – Monday 8 March 2027
We’ll publish them on our secure website. Once available, you can arrange access to these materials through your co-ordinator, who will also confirm the coursework uplift details for your centre.
If you need adapted versions of the assignment materials, for learners with an agreed assessment arrangement, the closing date for requests is Friday 18 December 2026.
