Tha SQA àrd-amasach don Ghàidhlig ann an Alba. Tha sinn daingeann a thaobh pàirt slàn agus dealasach a ghabhail ann an dèanamh cinnteach gum faigh muinntir Alba agus an eaconamaidh buannachd bho shiostam sgilean is theisteanasan a tha uile-ghabhalach, a' lìbhrigeadh agus a' coileanadh feumalachdan na h-Alba.

Feumaidh ar teisteanasan agus ar seirbheisean a bhith innsgineach agus buntainneach do fheumalachdan gnothachais, gnìomhachais agus daoine fa leth. Feumaidh sinn a dhèanamh cinnteach gu bheil cothrom aig gach neach ann an Alba air an àrd-chomas a ruighinn. Tha prìomh àite aig SQA ri choileanadh ann an com-pàirteachas le Riaghaltas na h-Alba agus buidhnean eile le ùidh, a thaobh ar n-àrd-amasan don Ghàidhlig a stiùireadh air adhart agus a lìbhrigeadh.

Tha am Plana Gàidhlig againn air ath-sgrùdadh airson 2015-2020, ann an co-rèir ri Achd na Gàidhlig (Alba) 2005 agus a' mìneachadh mar a tha sinn a' sùileachadh ri togail air coileanaidhean is eòlas a' chiad Phlana againn.

Coltach ri plana 2010-2015, tha e air a roinn eadar dealasan Foghlaim agus Corporra agus chaidh co-chomhairle phoblach a choileanadh.

Consultation - Gaelic Language Plan 2022-2025

The consultation for our Gaelic Language Plan 2022-2025 is now closed.

Thank you to all those of you who have taken the time to send us a response – it is greatly appreciated. We are now reviewing all the responses and will be submitting our plan for approval to Bòrd na Gàidhlig in the new year.

SQA is ambitious for Gaelic in Scotland. We are determined to play a full and committed part in ensuring that the Scottish people and economy benefit from a qualifications and skills system that is all-embracing, is delivering, and is meeting Scotland's needs.

Our qualifications and services must be dynamic and relevant to the needs of business, industry and individuals. We need to ensure everyone in Scotland has the opportunity to reach their full potential. SQA has a major role to play in partnership with the Scottish Government and other stakeholder organisations in driving forward and delivering our ambitions for Gaelic.

Our Gaelic Language Plan has now been revised for 2015-2020, in accordance with the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act, and explains how we intend to build on the achievements and the experience of our initial Plan.

The 2010-2015 iteration of SQA's statutory Gaelic Language Plan expired in June 2015, and we fulfilled our duty to review, renew and submit the revised Gaelic Language Plan to Bòrd na Gàidhlig for approval following a public consultation. Our 2015-2020 plan ensured our commitments remained ambitious and realistic.
