Hybrid working
Depending on the requirements of the role, we offer two workstyles:
- Office - Fixed location and fixed hours (your contractual hours)
- Hybrid - Variable location and fixed hours (your contractual hours)
Hybrid working allows employees to blend their time between working at home and in the office. However, the designated SQA place of work will always remain the same as stated in the contract of employment.
A contract of employment with SQA determines that the employee must work within the UK.
Full-time staff are contracted to work 35 hours per week, and part-time staff have variable hours.
Our business hours are:
- Optima (Glasgow): 9 am - 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays
- Lowden (Dalkeith): 8.30 am - 4.30 pm, Mondays to Thursdays, and 8.30 am until 3.30 pm on Fridays.
Colleagues should be available and working during core business hours to ensure the needs and services of the business are being met.
Core business hours are:
Monday to Friday: 10am – 12pm, and 2pm – 3.30pm
Colleagues must be online and contactable during these hours unless an exception has been agreed with a line manager.
