Group Awards

The HNC in Marketing Communications has been designed to provide learners with the relevant knowledge and skills for entry level jobs in marketing, advertising and PR and provides a greater focus on practical skills, particularly in the use of professional digital and social media techniques in marketing communications, while still ensuring a solid grounding in the basic marketing theory and practice needed to progress to one of the HND awards or into introductory level employment in the sector. Learners then have the option to progress to either:

  • HND in Marketing where they develop skills and knowledge in both traditional and digital marketing research, analysis and planning through the application of theory.
  • HND in Advertising and PR where they develop skills and knowledge in consumer behaviour; campaign planning in advertising and public relations (PR); media; copywriting and corporate identity.
