Information requested

Please could you provide me with the following information about Chinese Language qualifications.

1. The grade boundaries for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Chinese Languages in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

2. The number of candidates sitting National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

3. The breakdown of grades (including A1) for all these candidates? i.e. how many students sitting National 5 Mandarin Simplified in 2022 achieved A1, A, B, C, D, no award and the same for Mandarin Traditional, Cantonese; Higher and Advanced Higher levels and all for the years 2023 and 2024 as well.

4. Any information SQA holds on how many candidates that sit SQA Chinese Language exams are of Chinese ethnicity/are native Chinese speakers/are students of Chinese schools? Ideally including the number of candidates of Chinese ethnicity/who are native Chinese speakers/who are students of Chinese schools sitting National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

5. A list of all the grades (out of 200) of candidates who achieved an A1 at Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023, 2024 (if multiple candidates achieved the same mark, please list it as many times as candidates who achieved it). Please provide one list of all candidates? grades and another omitting the results of candidates of Chinese ethnicity/who are native Chinese speakers/who are students of Chinese schools. While I appreciate details about the number of candidates who are native Chinese speakers may not be available, a separate list omitting the grades of candidates of Chinese schools should be provided. Details about candidates achieving less than A1 and at National 5 and Higher levels is not required here.

6a. The average mark of candidates sitting Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023, 2024.

6b. The average mark of candidates sitting Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023, 2024 not including the marks of candidates of Chinese ethnicity/who are native Chinese speakers/who are students of Chinese schools.

7a. The number of candidates who achieved 187 or higher (out of 200) at Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese 2024.

7b. The number of candidates who achieved 187 or higher (out of 200) at Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese 2024 omitting candidates of Chinese ethnicity/who are native Chinese speakers/who are students of Chinese schools.

8. A list of all the marks (out of 30) for the Portfolio component of Advanced Higher Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese in 2022, 2023, 2024. Details about candidates who achieved less than 15/30 for this component can be grouped into one.

Like the last few points, please provide a list of all candidates and a list omitting candidates of Chinese ethnicity/who are native Chinese speakers/who are students of Chinese schools to the best of your ability.

Please clearly distinguish the data about Mandarin (Simplified), Mandarin (Traditional) and Cantonese qualifications, as opposed to grouping them into Chinese Language.
