Cost of Establishing Qualifications Scotland

I would like to know the cost of establishing Qualifications Scotland.

I would expect there to be a final total for this if the work is pretty much completed, or if not then an expected total (which may be expressed in the form of a total budgeted amount available).

Please therefore provide:

• A confirmation of the total cost of establishing Qualifications Scotland (either a confirmed or expected cost, and please be clear about which)
• Confirmation of how much of the total or expected cost of establishing Qualifications Scotland has already been spent

A total of £3,959,000 was provided by the Scottish Government to cover costs incurred in establishing Qualifications Scotland. Up to the end of January 2026 £3,735,000 of this has been spent.
