Information requested

I would like to know the total cost of introducing new Qualifications Scotland branding and removing old SQA branding.

Please confirm the cost of doing so in the following areas:

  1. Building signage (internal and external)
  2. Staff IDs
  3. Paper stationary (this relates to branded paper used for things like letters, certificates etc)
  4. Non-paper stationary (this relates to items such as pens, mousepads etc - it includes items used by staff and anything used for promotional or engagement purposes at events)
  5. Other internal office materials such as posters, pop-up banners etc

Response

The costs for internal and external signage are £18,730.

The cost of staff IDs, covering lanyards and security access cards is £17,653.

Under section 17, when a public authority does not hold information, it must inform the applicant. The SQA stationery was run down as part of the preparation for establishing Qualifications Scotland. Any additional costs due to wastage were not separately identified and not funded by transition. As such, we do not hold any information relevant to the request.

Under section 17, when a public authority does not hold information, it must inform the applicant. There was no budget allocated for promotional items and accordingly we do not hold any information relevant to the request.

Under section 17, when a public authority does not hold information, it must inform the applicant. For other internal office materials, there would be internal printing costs. However, these can not be split from business-as-usual costs and there is no information available for the request.

With regard to other external materials, there will have been some internal printing, costs being as above, and there were five banners costing £447.
