Information regarding private health insurance for staff

Information requested
This is an information request relating to private health insurance for staff. Please provide me with the following information for the 2025-26 financial year:
- The total amount spent by your organisation on funding or subsidising private healthcare/medical insurance for your staff during the 2025-26 financial year.
- A summary or copy of the private healthcare policy/policies currently available to your staff. Please include details regarding the level of cover provided and the eligibility criteria for staff to access this benefit (e.g., whether it is available to all staff, or restricted to certain pay grades or roles).
- The total number of staff members who were enrolled in or successfully claimed from this private healthcare scheme during the 2025-26 financial year.
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

Under section 17 of the Act, if information is not held, an authority must inform the applicant.
We do not fund or subsidise private healthcare/medical insurance for any member of staff, so we do not hold any information for the request.
However, we offer staff the opportunity to purchase a Simplyhealth healthcare cash plan directly from Simplyhealth at their own expense. The prices and table of cover offered through this corporate scheme are different to what is found on the Simplyhealth website and provides them with an approximately 13% discount on the product. But this is in not funded or subsidised by the organisation.
We do not have any private healthcare policy/policies currently available to any of our staff.
As there is no healthcare scheme provided by us, we do not have any members of staff who are or were enrolled or claimed from a private healthcare scheme in the 2025-26 financial year.
