Information requested
I am looking for the question by question breakdown for the following subjects that from this years exam diet (25-26): Environmental Science, Geography, History, Modern Studies, Politics, RMPS, Sociology and Psychology This request should include National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher where these levels exist. Can you also provide the results for those who achieved National 4 in the above subjects, again where these are applicable. These should be for West Lothian initially and if possible, from all centres within Scotland

The provisional information for National 4 results is contained within the attached spreadsheet. Please be aware that we do not hold a breakdown by item for the National 4 results.
While our aim is to provide information wherever possible, the information is exempt from disclosure under section 27(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, as it is intended to be published at a future date.
When applying the S27 exemption the authority is obliged to conduct a public interest test. Having carefully considered the competing public interests, we have concluded that, on balance, the public interest is better served by maintaining the exemption under section 27(1) of FOISA. While we recognise the public interest in transparency and access to attainment statistics, this is outweighed by the public interest in ensuring that the information is published in a complete, accurate and accessible format, through the agreed publication arrangements, and is made available to all users at the same time.
Item-level data and provisional attainment data for 2026 will be available through a new application launched by our Data and Analytics team, the Attainment and Item Mean Marks by Centre app, by the end of September. Please note that the 2026 provisional attainment data will be updated by the end of January, following completion of the appeals process.
