Charges for supplementary services
We produce official statistics in line with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics 3.0 (‘Code 3.0’ or ‘the Code’).
Standard 10, Practice 6 of the Code states: ‘Be transparent about any supplementary statistical services that you provide and, where you decide to charge, publish your pricing’.
Supplementary services
Supplementary services are requests by users for further data analyses which are not covered by our main publications. We do not currently charge for supplementary services.
We consider requests for information in line with The Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulation 2004, Regulation 3.
If the cost of producing the information is within the ‘appropriate limit’ then we do our best to provide the information. If the cost exceeds this limit, then we tell the person who asked for the information that we will not provide it.
Compliance
The head of profession (our head of data and analytics) has the final decision on any action necessary to comply with these procedures.
