This document is a summary of mean marks and highest marks across each qualification at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher. This document was formerly named Component Marks.
Official statistics in development are official statistics that are undergoing development. They may be new or existing statistics, and will be tested with users, in line with the standards of trustworthiness, quality, and value in the Code of Practice for Statistics.

Headline figures
National 5
Mean marks for National 5 as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 44.0% for Environmental Science to 93.8% for Mandarin (Traditional).
The highest marks attained as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 74.4% for Gnìomhachas Matamataigs (Applications of Mathematics) to 100.0% for multiple qualifications.
The highest mean component mark as a percentage of the maximum component mark was for Listening in Cantonese with a mean mark of 97.7%.
Higher
Mean marks for Higher as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 49.3% for Matamataig (Mathematics) to 90.5% for Cantonese.
The highest marks attained as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 69.1% for Eachdraidh (History) to 100.0% for multiple qualifications.
The highest mean component mark as a percentage of the maximum component mark was for Performance: Talking in Mandarin (Traditional) with a mean mark of 99.7%.
Advanced Higher
Mean marks for Advanced Higher as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 49.1% for Biology to 80.1% for Mandarin (Traditional).
The highest marks attained as a percentage of the maximum marks ranged from 79.0% for Gaelic (Learners) to 100.0% for multiple qualifications.
The highest mean component mark as a percentage of the maximum component mark was for Performance: Talking in Mandarin (Traditional) with a mean mark of 100.0%.
