Official Statistics

Following a legislative amendment, Qualifications Scotland is a named producer of official statistics, as the Scottish Qualifications Authority was before it.

Qualifications Scotland is made up of two distinct and autonomous areas:

Qualifications Scotland's awarding body publishes statistics and information on our website.

We produce official statistics in line with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics 3.0 ('Code 3.0' or 'the code').

The Code requires us to publish the following policies and information:

Statement of compliance with the code of practice for statistics

Release policy

Revisions and corrections policy

Confidentiality policy

Data management approach

Quality management approach

Public involvement and engagement strategy

Charges for supplementary statistical services

Annual statistical work programme - scheduled 12 May 2026
