Due to low uptake, stages outwith S4, S5 and S6 have not been published but are available on request.

The Provisional Candidate Attainment Summary 2025 has been updated due to the identification of a data processing error where candidate records were not included in the mean attainment per candidate calculations. Tables 1, 2 and 3 have all been impacted by this error, specifically columns 'Mean A to C Attainment' and 'Mean A Attainment'. In addition, figures which show the mean A to C attainment per candidate (Figures 2, 5 and 8) and mean A attainment per candidate (Figures 3, 6 and 9) have also been impacted by this error. All related text has been updated to reflect the corrected numbers.

There is no impact to the associated spreadsheet documents, these remain unchanged. A spreadsheet containing the changes can be found on the updated summary page.

Details

Provisional Candidate Attainment Statistics 2025 presents a summary of entries and attainment on results day in August. This reflects information at a particular point in time (22 July 2025) with the figures being subject to change later in the year subject to processes including, but not limited to appeals and late amendments. 

In addition to this year's data, the tables have been backdated to 2019.
